Meeting Notes

Iran-Iraq Work Group Meeting, March 15, 2007

At the meeting on March 15, the group basically rounded out plans for a walk on Oneonta's Main St on Sunday, March 18, from 12-1 PM. Cynthia brought a beautiful large banner she has made for this walk, although she herself will be in Washington for the Pentagon march Saturday and likely not back in time. We will ask people to dress in black or dark clothing if possible, and we will basically have a silent walk on the sidewalks of downtown, from Ford Ave to Chestnut Street and back again, for one hour. We will assemble at the plaza at noon.

We will have a brief get-together after our next Peace Vigil on the Square, 4:30-5:30 Thursday just to compare notes about our experiences over the weekend. Then we encourage everyone to come to the Annual Meeting of the Coalition for Democracy on Friday, March 23, at which time the Iraq/Iran group will make a presentation about our work.
