Meeting Agenda

Thursday, November 16, 2006, 7:00 p.m.

NOTE: this meeting is at the First United Methodist Church PARSONAGE*, corner of Church & Chestnut in Oneonta.

This will be a very important meeting for the Coalition. It's a new political era, and we need to figure out how we can best bring forward our issues. Thursday will be the beginning of laying out how we are going to get from here to there. We'll also be discussing a possible major town hall meeting with our two new Congressional reps--Michael Arcuri & Kirsten Gillibrand. Now's the time to let them know the issues we want them to pay attention to. Let's get folks from all 4 counties--Otsego, Delaware, Chenango, Schoharie--to Thursday's meeting. We need to be a big group that shows the community that we have some heft, that we stand for them and that we will show up for issues that are important to them. One issue we'll touch on is being carried over from last month's meeting--adequate political space for third parties.

PLEASE BE THERE RIGHT AT 7 PM. We'll have a full agenda and want to hear everyone's perspective.

*The parsonage is the building next to the church on Chestnut St.--between the church and the Huntington Library.
