Meeting Agenda

Thursday, August 17, 2006

Due to Thursday's community forum on the woodburning plant at the UU church, the regular meeting of the Coalition for Democracy will be held at 5:30 PM this coming Thursday at the Olympia Brown House, 16 Ford Avenue.

This will be a shortened but important meeting, as much is going on in the community. Topics will include important developments in the voting machine issue, the resurgence of an effort to do away with Social Security, Clean Money Clean Elections in the upcoming campaign, the latest on "Restore the Soul of America," how do we respond to the Middle East crisis, and more.

----------------BULLETIN posted 8/16/06-------------

Mary Clark of Citizen Action has agreed to join us at our Thursday CfD
meeting, beginning 5:30 PM (16 Ford Ave.), to explain an important new
issues campaign that may have a profound impact on our congressional
districts (20th and 24th). She has proposed kicking this off on
Saturday, Sept 16, with a large-scale campaign in Oneonta, for which she
has offered to bring in volunteers from Citizen Action to assist.
PLEASE COME to this important meeting to hear more and to get involved.
I am sure that similar assistance will be available for Delaware County
as well.
