A group of representatives 7 members of CfD met with three members of Congressmand Michael Arcuri's staff, including Joe Johnson, chief of staff in Arcuri's Utica office. Issues discussed included healthcare, accountability, and Iraq/Iran. Click here for more information.
Saturday, April 14, 2007, downtown Oneonta, NY, starting at 1:00 p.m.
Step It Up Oneonta will sponsor a bicycle parade starting at 1:00 pm, along with an educational fair and rally, movies, storefront window displays, and a workshop panel discussion. Local events related to the fourth anniversary of the Iraq War

Over the weekend of Friday, March 16 through Tuesday, March 20, several local events are being planned to protest the war and work toward peace. These include:

Friday, March 16:
- Cooperstown, 7:00 p.m.: candlelight vigil, silent procession, reading of names.

Saturday, March 17:
- Cherry Valley, 11:55 a.m.: vigil.
- Delhi, 12:00 noon: vigil on the square.
- Norwich, 12:00 noon: vigil at Broad St. and Rte. 12.
- Utica, 1:00 p.m.: outdoor peace rally.

Sunday, March 18:
- Oneonta, 12:00 noon: silent walk in downtown Oneonta.
- Cooperstown, 2:00 p.m.: town meeting at Templeton Hall on impeachment of Bush and Cheney.
- Norwich, 7:00 p.m.: candlelight vigil.

Monday, March 19:
- Binghamton, 4:00 p.m. peace rally and Wake Up America march, following several smaller street corner vigils and rallys.

Tuesday, March 20:
- SUNY Oneonta campus, 2:00 p.m.: Impeach President Bush Rally
