Citizen Action of New York works in communities throughout the state - and nation as part of USAction - to build better futures for families. For 20 years, they've been involving people in successful efforts to improve health care, provide quality education and after-school programs, secure good paying jobs and affordable public transit, lessen the influence of big money in politics and get progressive voices heard. Their issue driven campaigns have lead to numerous progressive representatives in New York government at the State and local level. Take Back Congress – NY is an independent strategic campaign dedicated to electing Democratic and Working Families Party candidates in four competitive NY districts. These Republican dominated districts are ordinarily not favorable, but this year polling indicates that “unaffiliated” voters are particularly persuadable our way.
Starting a multi-layered field plan in the 24th district, TBC believes a grassroots message focusing on jobs, healthcare and education that support working class families will bring these voters over to our needed margin for victory.
