A Progressive Call to Action
The 24th Congressional district (where Boehlert is leaving office) is the one of the most important races in the Country.
Let’s work to gain a Congress that represents OUR values.
Help Break the Bush Stranglehold on Congress

Tues Aug 15th at 7pm
First United Methodist Church
66 Church St, Oneonta

Guest Speakers:
Mary Clark, Southern Tier Coordinator, Citizens Action New York- Issue Education Campaign and
Carrie Berman, Organizing Director, Take Back Congress – New York Campaign

Citizen Action of New York works in communities throughout the state - and nation as part of USAction - to build better futures for families. For 20 years, they've been involving people in successful efforts to improve health care, provide quality education and after-school programs, secure good paying jobs and affordable public transit, lessen the influence of big money in politics and get progressive voices heard. Their issue driven campaigns have lead to numerous progressive representatives in New York government at the State and local level. If you can’t make the meeting – volunteer at: cabing@citizenactio

Take Back Congress – NY is an independent strategic campaign dedicated to electing Democratic and Working Families Party candidates in four competitive NY districts. These Republican dominated districts are ordinarily not favorable, but this year polling indicates that “unaffiliated” voters are particularly persuadable our way.
Starting a multi-layered field plan in the 24th district, TBC believes a grassroots message focusing on jobs, healthcare and education that support working class families will bring these voters over to our needed margin for victory. If you can’t make the meeting - volunteer at: tbcvolunteer@
